Performs complex administrative functions in the Human Resources Office. Light bookkeeping/accounting and information distribution duties. Coordination of new hire paperwork. Represents the HR Department on several committees.
Performs administrative functions for the HR Department.
- Biweekly Step increases (automatic)
- Run monthly evaluation report (Discoverer) and "pending" reports as requested
- Sends out employee evaluation lists to supervisors/ department heads on a monthly basis
- Takes staff meeting minutes
- Orders supplies for the Department
- Prepares monthly Piece of the Rock & other County wide or management correspondence
- Coordinate with IT to make internal and external website changes
Provide administrative support to Human Resources Staff
- 1. Back up to the front desk
- Perform reference and background screens for various County departments
- Complete 303 Employment Standards Application form for YSC new hires
- Assists in SharePoint updates and audits as requested by HR and departments
Recruitment, Training and On boarding
- Conduct employee orientations on a bi-weekly basis (prepares packets, collects forms, etc.)
- Assist with coordinating internal / external Professional Development Training as needed
- Post updates on Social Media platforms as needed
- Assists with and attends external job fairs and hiring events
Attends and represents the HR Department on various committees.

- Any other committee as assigned
Performs financial and budget work for the HR Department
- Maintain HR Department receipts and processes monthly credit card invoices
- Prepares department bills/transfers
- Monitors the HR Department budget and keeps track of line items accounts (IFAS)
Performs Other Duties as Assigned

- Knowledge of human resource programs, policies and procedures.

- Friendly outgoing personality to deal with in-person and phone inquiries.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Familiarity with an HRIS system and a reporting tool.
- Knowledge of and the ability to use social media
- Prompt and regular attendance
- High school degree
- Some additional business school course work preferred.
- Previous work in a human resource department preferred.
- Ability to use computer for data entry, etc.
- Ability to use a computer with different software applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver's license and a good driving record.
- Bilingual preferred
