Intervention Counselor, Birmingham
Position: Intervention Counselor
Shift: M-F; some weekends (variable hours as needed)

treatment and education services in a least restrictive setting, through a
continuum of care, with the highest respect for individuals and families
served. Glenwood leads the state in providing behavioral health care and
educational services that are responsive and complimentary to a continuum of
care for persons with unique mental health disorders. Glenwood supports mental
health and educational professionals and promotes research in these specialized
areas.
Min. Education: Masters Degree in counseling, social work, or related area.
Min. Work Experience: Experience in Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and/or other mental health related issues.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Clinical skills, assessment skills, Behavior
Management skills, excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, ability
to train, collaborate with others in area of ASD, Developmental Disabilities.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age
Must be cleared through the Dept. of Human Resources Child Abuse & Neglect Registry as well as the ABI/FBI and pass all required pre-employment and background screening
Must be certified or certifiable in CPR, 1 st Aid, MCS and MAC
