Registrar/Assoc For Records, Tuscaloosa
Serves as the College's administrative officer responsible for collecting, maintaining, securing, and managing the records of the College's present and former students and of the College's instructional and academic programs. Is also responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting student data information derived from these records.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years administrative experience in a student services office or records office environment.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Demonstrated experience to train, motivate, supervise, direct, and evaluate work performance of staff and volunteers; Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work with and gain support from students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and conducting innovative records management, and demonstrated computer skills. Preference will be given to those with BANNER and DegreeWorks experience in addition to in-depth knowledge of higher education policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required or Master's degree preferably in business or higher education administration. Professional work experience with college students, specifically undergraduate junior/community college students, as well as students coming to UA from other universities, student services, course scheduling and programs specific needs.
