Job Description:

The Patient Transporter provides physical movement of patients and patient related materials, supplies, and equipment within a medical complex. This individual has responsibilities involving indirect and direct patient care by transporting patients to and from appointments utilizing equipment based on patient needs. The Patient Transporter is responsible for of delivery specimens to designated locations. 

This position will work within Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Job Qualifications:


Education (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic Health System.)

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent


Experience

Preferred/Optional Experience: Patient transport, customer service or public relations experience. Demonstrated proficiency with verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. 

Certifications/Licenses

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position, which must be maintained in good standing:



Minimum Required: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification awarded by the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. 

Preferred/Optional: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification awarded by the American Heart Association at time of hire.
