JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Health and Nutrition Services Division is seeking a Food Distribution Specialist.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide resources to assist schools in providing the best nutritional services to students.
Manage the Department of Defense (DoD) Fresh Program.
Administration, allocation, and reconciliation of program participants.
Maintain a web based ordering system.
Provide guidance to new users as well as create surveys and analysis of data.
Coordinate and conduct workshops, trainings, and conferences.
Develop training content and educational materials.
In-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Federal and state regulations pertaining to child nutrition programs or other state/federally funded nutrition programs
Marketing practices and programs
Must have taught or administered a health and/or nutrition program
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Teaching techniques
Program implementation
Assessment and evaluation
Oral and written communication
Interpersonal, presentation
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Customer service techniques
Decision making
Relations with employees and public
Problem solving and critical analysis
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Operate successfully in a team environment
Acute attention to detail
Perform to meet deadlines and produce expected results with little supervision
Express ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.).
